Wiring Schematics
In both cases the lighting switch is a double pole double throw with a center off. Radio Shack has several versions but just be sure to get one that will handle 10 amps. The Ignition switch can be an automotive key switch or a single pole single throw switch hidden on the bike somewhere. Again 10 amp capacity is needed.

The brake light switch can be an auto type or a Brit replacement but must be set up so that a brake application closes the contacts to illuminate the brake lamp.

The Battery is optional if you use a Boyer Power Box or a MityMax but required if you use a Tympanium or Podtronics.

See the Boyer Analog Electronic Ignition instructions for Boyer coil requirements. The Digital Boyer Ignition version is not suggested as it is EMI sensitive.

The ground should be a stud to the frame where all the return wires are gathered. If at all possible do not rely on the frame for circuit continuity.

Engine must have good continuity to the common point ground connection
(spark plug return path). Remove the paint on engine mounting tabs where they touch the engine.
